On a study trip we went to Shanghai and collaborated with a Communication design class from Tongji university. In my group we worked with a group of students who spends most of their time in their room, near to all of their time. this kind of living is called “zháinan zháinu”. The university dormitory provides them with a convenient, comfortable and safe environment. They live in solitary by ordering food and necessities to their front step, from a variety of mail service websides. From our researg we discovered that a lot of them felt like strangers in their own city, they felt lonely and had a realy hard time getting new relations, and socialising. We made a service that took inspiration form foodstamps. Every time you ordered a meal threw our service, you would get a little sticker to collect. When you then have 6 stickers, you will get a free meal at one of the collaborating restaurants. the catch is that you will be sharing the meal with other students who collect stickers to. In that way we nudge the students to get in contact with each other and engage in new relationships. By: Line Arngård, Malte Bentzen, Nicole, Emma and Lars Simonsen

On a study trip we went to Shanghai and collaborated with a Communication design class from Tongji university. we worked with students who spends most of their time in their room, near to all of their free time. This kind of living is called “zháinan zháinu” (home boy, home girl). The university dormitory provides them with a convenient, comfortable and safe environment. They live in solitary by ordering food and necessities to their doorstep, from a variety of mail service websites competing on prices and speed.

From our research we discovered that a lot of them felt like strangers in their own city, they felt lonely and had a really hard time  getting new relations, and socialising with fellow students.

We made a service that took inspiration from food stamps.
